Getting to know Screencastify

Have you noticed this icon on your computer when you are using Chrome?  It is located right at the end of the URL bar where you type a website address.

This is the icon for Screencastify, a Chrome extension that was pushed out to all our district chrome users.  Screencastify allows you to take quick screencasts from your computer.  You can save your screencasts to Google Drive and then share them.  Screen casts can be used for:

• Students and families as a resource when doing work at home.  
• Substitutes to play so that you can teach your students, even when you are not there.
• Directing students on how to do something on a particular program.
